About Geoff Caldwell

Geoff Caldwell started Methodrive in 1980. As well as being a qualified driving instructor, Geoff is a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists.

He holds a Higher National Diploma in mechanical engineering from Nottingham Trent University and a teaching certificate in English and Education awarded by Nottingham University.

"In the sixties I worked as a mechanical engineer for National Coal Board. In the seventies I worked as a school teacher. I started the driving school in the eighties. In the nineties I mixed school teaching and driving tuition. Now I work part-time as a driving instructor and am also studying part-time for a degree in creative writing at Nottingham University."

His driving tuition benefits from probably one of the broadest and most relevant backgounds any driving instructor has ever had.
