About Geoff Caldwell

I started my driving school Methodrive in 1980. As well as being a Grade 6 (top grade) driving instructor, I have over 25 years continuous membership of the Institute of Advanced Motorists.

I hold a Higher National Diploma in mechanical engineering from Nottingham Trent University and a teaching certificate in English and Education awarded by Nottingham University.

"In the sixties I worked as a mechanical engineer for National Coal Board. In the seventies I worked as a school teacher. I concentrated on driving tuition in the eighties. In the nineties I mixed school teaching and driving tuition. Now I work exclusively as a driving instructor and am also studying part-time for a degree in creative and professional writing at Nottingham University."

My driving tuition benefits from probably one of the most diverse yet also most relevant backgounds any driving instructor has ever had.
