I AM NOW RETIRED AND NOT TAKING ANY PUPILS.

I started my driving school Methodrive in 1980. As well as being a Grade 6 (top grade - Instructional Model) driving instructor for a number of years, I have over 30 years continuous membership of the Institute of Advanced Motorists.I am graded B (A to C)on the recently introduced Coaching Model.

I hold a Higher National Diploma in mechanical engineering from Nottingham Trent University and a teaching certificate in English and Education awarded by Nottingham University.I recently completed a degree in creative and professional writing at Nottingham University and was awarded a 1st class pass.

In the sixties I worked as a mechanical engineer for National Coal Board. In the seventies I worked as a school teacher. I concentrated on driving tuition in the eighties. In the nineties I mixed school teaching and driving tuition. Now I work exclusively as a driving instructor.

My driving tuition benefits from probably one of the most diverse yet also most relevant backgounds any driving instructor has ever had.
